Credit notifications with online credit limit increase

When an account's credit usage reaches or exceeds 80% of its limit, the application sends a notification to users with executive and account roles, advising them that the credit limit is nearing or has reached its limit.

There are 2 notifications:

  1. The first notification is sent when the account's credit has reached 80% of their total amount.
  2. The second notification is sent when the account's credit has reached the credit limit (100%).

Also, the Finance summary page displays an alert banner in the credit balance section when the used credit is over 80%.

When user clicks on the button "Apply for increase", a new screen is displayed with their eligible credit accounts and the ability to apply for a credit limit increase.

Here is how to do it, step-by-step:

  1. The user needs to select the customer account which they would like to apply for an increase on.
  2. Click "next"
  3. The new screen will show the actual credit limit amount and a text field to enter the new credit limit the user would like to apply for.
  4. Click "Submit"
  5. A confirmation message will be displayed on the screen and an email with this form and the company details will be send to the credit department to evaluate the new credit proposal.
  6. If the proposed credit limit is K250.000 over existing credit limit, the user will see a confirmation screen with a message that the credit department will request additional information, like audited financial statements from the requesters company.
  7. When the proposed credit limit is approved, the user will receive an email from the credit department and the new amount will be displayed in the platform shortly after.
